For those of you who know me, or may not know me and don’t have an inkling about my life, you should know a BIG part of my life is being married to a professional baseball player. My amazing husband, Rob Zastryzny, Rob Z, Z, Rojo or as he was would like to say when he calls your phone jokingly, “Hey it’s Rob Z, left handed pitcher for the Dodgers Organization…(but currently heading into free agency).” Take your pick. I’m a baseball wife. Professional travel assistant. Secretary. GM for the Zastryznys.
When I started my blog and website I knew that, through my instagram, people always wanted to know what our life looks like behind closed doors. On and off the field, what our off seasons looked like, basically keep up with Rob’s career and our personal life. I am so excited to be able to get more in depth about our baseball life. Give the good, the bad, and ugly about the baseball life and wife life aspect to all this.
FACT: It isn’t all glitz and glam, we do not have all the money in the world, we are not always together (even if I travel with him during season), going to baseball games all the time ain’t the “easy life.” Before you say “I wish I had the life of a pro-athletes wife” let me break it down for you.
Yes, we live an amazing life but that comes with some real tough and long days, nights, and months apart especially when us wives or girlfriends decide it’s best for our families to not travel. At the end of it all, I am so grateful for all the amazing things Rob’s career has brought us and that we do get to travel and be in new cities all the time.
It is the most rewarding feeling to watch your husband chase his dreams and I can’t wait to share the highlights of his career and also share the bad parts of his career. Share all the eye roll moments, endless laughing tummy ache stories, moments that had us in tears, and moments that I will cherish forever.
Welcome to the life of Baseball Wife.
Amen sista! Absolutely love this!
